This was a entertaining encounter as two evenly matched teams played out a draw in the second round of the Junior D Championship. Liam Quail scored a goal midway through the half for Kilmainham and it gave them a 1-5 to 0-4 lead at half-time.
Ballinlough used tweleve U-21 players during this match, including James Baugh and substitute Jack Tunney who were to the fore as they had the better of the second-half exchanges. A goal from Paul Monaghan had Ballinlough in the lead 1-10 to 1-8 with eight minutes left but Kilmainham hit the last two points to earn a draw.
